I could not possibly be any happier than I am right now. Well, that is not totally true, but I am pretty darn happy right now. I found out today that I made the Final Four, in the "Biggest Fan of the Big East" contest, and I am just giddy with excitement. Not only did I do my absolute best to represent my school (my Alma Mater) and my team, but I was the only girl to make the Final Four, and I am pretty proud of that!
So as I bask in the glow of this victory, I would like to once again say a few thank yous! A BIG THANK YOU goes out to Volvo and the Big East Conference for inviting me to participate in this competition. It truly has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I have made some great friends in my fellow contestants, met some fantastic people promoting this along the way, and got to see a game at my Alma Mater that is my new all-time BEST in-person Notre Dame game, and I can't thank them enough!
I'd also like to thank all of my social media followers on Facebook and Twitter, as well as my friends and family, for putting up with me spamming their lives with #VolvoBigEastFan hash tags over, and over, and OVER again. Thank you to you all for putting up with my Big East/Notre Dame obsession, and cheering me along the whole way!
And thank you to all of the wonderful folks at the University of Notre Dame for being 100% supportive of me, and always having my back when I needed them. They were absolutely amazing. I simply cannot thank you enough.
So I'm going to bask in my Final Four glow tonight, and win or lose tomorrow, this has been an experience I will NEVER forget!
I'm chilling tonight ... in my own little "Paradise." Cheers to you and yours!
Paradise
When she was just a girl
She expected the world
But it flew away from her reach so
She ran away in her sleep
and dreamed of Paradise
Every time she closed her eyes
When she was just a girl
She expected the world
But it flew away from her reach
and the bullets catch in her teeth
Life goes on, it gets so heavy
The wheel breaks the butterfly
Every tear a waterfall
In the night the stormy night she'll close her eyes
In the night the stormy night away she'd fly
And so lying underneath those stormy skies
She'd say, "oh, ohohohoh I know the sun must set to rise"
Cheers!
Good luck tomorrow. It has been great reading through your posts!
